Adult and Senior Classes

The YMCA creates a supportive environment for people of all ages to thrive. Make new connections, have fun and improve your health through programs that fit your lifestyle. As you get older, you may find that you have a new set of fitness goals you want to achieve, such as improving your balance and flexibility. We’re committed to helping older adults stay physically and mentally healthy. Learn more below about our wellness programs designed for older adults.

Tai Chi Qigong: Appropriate for all levels including beginning students, those recovering from illness or injuries, seniors, and for women who are pregnant. The class consists of flowing, non-strenuous yoga movements designed to gently stretch skeletal muscles and deeply relax the nervous system.

Silver Sneakers & Silver Sneakers Chair Yoga: The Silver Sneakers fitness program is offered in partnership with select health plans at no additional cost to Medicare-eligible members. Classes offer exercises designed to improve agility, balance, and strength to enhance everyday functional activities or a gentle chair-based approach to yoga.

Health & Wellness Programs

From yoga and cycle to boxing and strength training, our group fitness classes offer variety, accountability, and fun. Classes are led by certified instructors who provide guidance and modifications so everyone feels welcome. Group fitness is included with membership and offers built-in motivation and community connection.

Our Wellness Center features cardio machines, free weights, selectorized equipment, functional fitness space, and a full boxing/kickboxing area. Whether you prefer independent workouts or guided training, you’ll find the space and equipment to support your goals.

Smart Start is a free member benefit that includes up to three one-on-one sessions with our wellness staff. You’ll receive goal setting, equipment orientation, and a personalized wellness plan designed to help you build long-term healthy habits.

Our personal trainers offer one-on-one and small group sessions to help you improve strength, confidence, and overall well-being. Training packages are available to fit your needs and schedule.

We offer programs that bridge the gap between clinical care and community support, including blood pressure monitoring, weight loss programs, and fall prevention. These programs focus on education, accountability, and sustainable lifestyle changes.

This inclusive program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing structured activities, social connection, and physical fitness opportunities in a caring and supportive environment.
